Alice’s Looking Glass Earrings
Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking glass is a fantastical land where everything is topsy-turvy. The concept that all is not what it seems is apropos not only for our time period but our new jewelry design. Here, hand blown Early 20th-Century English glass is gently held in place by the exacting tension between copper disk and Sterling Silver that also serve as the ear wires. Measurements: 2″ long x 1″ wide and light as a feather.
Points of Light Earrings
Window and doorways – new ways of seeing and being….and the journey of Metalsmithing continues with rivets incorporated into NEC designs. Beginning with a Galveston Texas stained glass window, the photo was edited in Adobe Photoshop, transferred and then etched into Copper (for healing energy). Two sections include riveted Sterling Silver (for feminine energy) inlay. Sterling Silver ear wires complete these new earrings and all are hand antique and finished. Measurements: 2″ long x 1-1/8″ at the widest.
Opal’s Ingenuity Earrings
Comma shaped, these lovely gemstones provide us a “break” much as a comma in a sentence to consider where in our lives the attributes of creativity and courage need to be enriched and nourished. Lightly textured and handmade Sterling Silver settings and ear wires provide the backdrop to these unique Peruvian Opals. Measurements: 2″ long x .5″ wide and light as a feather.
The Gothic Eye Earrings
Inspired by the painted churches of Schulenberg, Texas, our new “all-seeing eye” earrings are photo etched copper with Sterling Silver findings and handmade ear wires. Sometimes called the “eye of providence” this symbol can be be found on the verso of the American dollar bill, in Christian symbolism, the Mexican ojo de venado and discussed in Buddhist texts and Egyptian hieroglyphs. Measurements: etched copper is just shy of 1″ square; Overall length: 2.5″ long.
The Points of Light Earrings
This is one of my favorite statues of Mother Mary from Galveston, Texas. Here the contemplative Mary is reimagined with a star filled sky in photo etched Copper (for healing). Joining Mary are handmade Sterling Silver set genuine Sapphires (the stone of royalty, prophecy and Divine favor), Sterling Silver (for feminine energy) findings and Sterling Silver ear wires. Measurements: 2.25″ long overall. The copper disc is 1″ at the widest x .75″ tall. Light as a feather!
Deco Rose Earrings
Based upon a pair of 1920s/30s English Art Deco Stained glass window that grace my home these lovely handmade photo etched Copper (for healing energy) and Sterling Silver ear wires (symbolic of feminine energy) are the perfect compliment to any outfit and occasion. The copper has been antiqued and coated to prevent tarnishing. Measurements: 1.5″ long and copper discs are 1″ in diameter.
Luna’s Sterling Silver Hoops
In mythology Artemis is the the moon goddess, and during this weeks full moon our glimmering orb has certainly put on a show for us! In honor or Luna, Latin for moon these handmade and finished Sterling Silver (for feminine energy) hoops are reminiscent of the moon's surface itself. Measurements: 1.75″ long x 1.5″ wide.
Sterling’s Deco Diamond Earrings
In homage to Art Deco are new NanEdwardsCollection earrings. Streamlined handmade Sterling silver “diamonds,” are the backdrop for English Deco glass – with hues of smokey blue, green and gold joining vintage Czech Amethyst glass on hand made Sterling Silver ear wires.
