While sketching new ideas, these vintage medals kept showing up and perhaps they provide us an opportunity to ponder what Mother Mary can be — a symbol of wisdom, compassion and new beginnings. These pretties are repurposed Rhinestone midcentury findings that joins sterling and gold filled chain, vintage holy medals and hand made Sterling Silver ear wires! Measurements: 2.5″ long.
Butterfly and Pearl Victorian Necklace
As I was designing new jewelry this pretty seemed just the ticket to celebrate Spring, and the Victorian’s penchant for nature and symbolism. The centerpiece is a repurposed Victorian or Edwardian MOP, Mother of Pearl pin. Her hand carved imagery includes butterflies/dragonflies for transformation and a seven pointed star for love. MOP is a symbol for stimulating imagination and clarity. She joins a repurposed Victorian hat pin, a nod to the Victorian’s fascination with the ancient Etruscan gold work. The setting, chain and clasp are gold filled. Measurements: 20″ long chain
Victorian Amethyst Glass Cross Necklace
This new NEC antique Victorian cross necklace is from the middle 19th-Century. She is Amethyst glass that has been repaired set in Sterling Silver setting with a Marcasite center. She is joined by Art Deco vintage glass and Hematite (for harmonizing mind, body and spirit) on Sterling chain and findings.

Vintage 20th-Century Art Deco Wire Wrapped Necklace
A lovely long and lean necklace with a beautiful combo of 20th-Century glass –Amethyst and Teal English Art Deco glass joins '50s American lilac glass and lastly 1970s Indian Cobalt blue glass infused with gold are wire wrapped on antiqued brass chain and findings. Measurement: 44″ long.
Wiseman Buddha Earrings
How can you not smile, and be in the present moment looking at these these jolly wise men, Buddha earrings. They are hand carved 1950s Chinese peach pit beads and only 1.5″ tall (Wowza!). With a happy grin and sassy tassel these beads join gold filled and brass bead caps with Jade (for wisdom, balance and peace) on hand made gold filled ear wires! Measurements: 3.25″ long.
City of Paris Necklace
Is it the gargoyles nestled among the spires of Notre Dame Cathedral, the buttery croissants, I.M Pei’s Pyramid at the Louvre or the Tuileries Garden? Whatever it is that draws our hearts and minds to Paris, the coat of arms of Paris finding is reinterpreted as a necklace with Sterling findings and chain. Chain measures: 20″ long.
Art Deco Buddha, Cross and Victorian Pin Necklace
Thich Nhat Hanh’s “Coming Home: Jesus and Buddha as Brothers,” has impacted over and over again my own understanding of Buddhism and Christianity– compassion, mindfulness–and how I have discussed the artwork of these great religions with my own students. My assemblage is inspired by Hanh’s writings and teachings. This new work an interpretation of a Rosary includes an Art Deco GF Cross, a 1950s Chinese hand carved Buddha peach pit bead, a Victorian Knot brooch/pin (for love, affection and friendship) and dyed Jade (blessing whatever it touches) on brass chain and findings. Measurements: 40″ long.
